Corporate Social Responsibility, also known as CSR is one of the most crucial elements to a Public Relations strategy. A CSR activity shows your employees, your customers and your community that you are doing your part to make the world a better place, and that you care about the society that supports your business.
Not only does a CSR campaign improve your public image, it can also bring new customers through the door. Research conducted by Double the Donation found that 55% of consumers are willing to pay more for products from socially responsible companies.
The Boiling Crab® are a model example of a brand that do all that they can to make a positive impact on their local communities. This is usually done by donating a percentage of sales to a chosen charity or by having fun & funky tshirts for sale.
Their latest CSR activity involves A Boiling Crab® x RIF.LA collaborative tee, which will be available this year at ComplexCon - a well known music festival at Long Beach, California. The Boiling Crab® are working with American shoe store “RIF Los Angeles” to help raise funds for the foundation From One Hand To Another (FOHTA). FOHTA is an amazing initiative that provides over 1,500 children across the U.S. with summer camps, mentoring those from an at-risk and low-income schools. All proceeds from the shirts at ComplexCon will be donated to the cause.
Another initiative that The Boiling Crab® took part in was Breast Cancer Awareness month this October. A portion of all shrimp and crawfish sales were donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, as well as selling pink shirts for $20 and having pink bibs for all customers chowing down on juicy seafood! #breastcancerawareness #TBCares
