Little Zak's Academy expands across New South Wales

Little Zak’s Academy expands its learning centres across New South Wales.

Meet Little Zak’s

Little Zak’s Academy is a leading childcare provider offering premium services and extracurricular activities throughout their early learning centres. Instilled at the core of their company values lies their love for family and their close partnerships forged with all families enrolling their children into the educational programs. Little Zak’s drives its mission to provide the best start in life to all children through the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) - ‘Being, Belonging and Becoming’ - and the National Quality Framework (NQF) offering intentional teaching and spontaneous learning.

By focusing on a play-based learning approach, we can foster an environment wherein children are encouraged to develop academically, physically and socially through spontaneous and intentional learning!

Meet the CEO

Little Zak’s is backed by a strong leadership team, which includes CEO Rich Bell, who has also managed the board of AJ Hackett.

He has built, invested in, and consulted a magnitude of businesses from start-ups to $200m dollar companies across 8 different countries over the last 10 years. In 2015, Rich was listed in the top 3 emerging business leaders by Fairfax Media and AFR newspaper, which led him to launching his own boutique investment and advisory firm back in 2016.

Since joining as CEO at Little Zak’s, Rich has been a powerful force for the growth of the brand, accelerating its development in New South Wales and expanding the team’s franchising network. Rich will oversee all franchise sales and recruitment and assist with franchise development activities.

Rapid Growth

The Child Care Services industry in Australia is experiencing rapid growth and is expected to increase at an annual rate of 2.1% over the next five years through 2021-22, to $13.7 billion. Higher government expenditure on the childcare sector, increased fees and rising enrolment numbers initially drove industry growth over the period.

Managing Partner Business Opportunity

Australia’s chosen childcare academy is looking for managing partners who are business savvy and boast a dedicated drive to succeed.

The academy has built up an increasing demand of business owners who want to own a Little Zak’s centre at carefully selected sites. However, Little Zak’s only partners with strong candidates and has limited opportunities available.

Little Zak’s Academy is a commercially brilliant business offering managing partners' exclusive opportunities to take control of their day to day living by running a fun and profitable business while giving back to their local communities.

The expansion of the brand spreads across New South Wales with priority locations including The Entrance, Newcastle, Charlestown and Lisarow.

The desired Managing Partner qualities include understanding the commercial aspect of running a profitable childcare centre and the full business operation spectrum. Being financially savvy is key.

Benefits of Co-Owner Model

The mechanics of the co-ownership model are quite simple. Little Zak’s sets up a new unit trust to run the business, and each partner owns their share of the business in that trust. This co-ownership structure consists of reduced risk, aligned interests and easier entry into the market.

Rich Bell, Little Zak’s CEO believes that their success is seen in the business structure, explaining that, “One of the main, secret ingredients in the Little Zak's network's recipe for success is its co-ownership structure. As well as being the franchisor, Little Zak's will own a percentage of the childcare centre with managing partners.”
